Deborah Kaya is the out of this world writing team of Deborah Brenner and her daughter, Kaya Gabsy. They are working on their quartet, THE TAMMABUKKU CHRONICLES, with their gifted, time-traveling godfather, who so graciously volunteered to write this bio. That godfather is me, Ambrose de Ripariis, of course. I make my presence known in this quartet, as you will find out.
"Ambrose, don't forget this is OUR bio," Deborah reminded me. "YOUR soul's story is told within these books."
"I shan't forget," I replied. "Now onto Deborah and Kaya's bioraphies..."
Deborah grew up between New York and Los Angeles, but has lived in Hawaii, Vermont, British Columbia, Florida, North Carolina, and New Jersey. She has worked as an editor, writer and teacher, among other jobs. In junior high school she found her expression in writing both fiction and non-fiction. A lover of the mystical and esoteric, she has always been a seeker of magic and truth. Early on she learned that what we call magic is everywhere for those who know how to look. After SERCH BYTHOL and INNER MAGNETS their upcoming novels will include the third and fourth volumes of the quartet, TIMELESS KEEPERS and TAMMABUKKU, which will be published in 2019 and2021, respectively. Deborah is also author of the upcoming novel, EXPECTING TO FLY. Her projects in development include a novel about the Tuatha de Danann, and an autobiography.
Kaya grew up in Manhattan. She is 18 in Earth years, but her spirit is ancient. Homeschooled her entire life, the city of New York has been her classroom. From the time she was a toddler, Kaya realized that her imagination was her best teacher. She has been engaging in creative plays with her sister, Sara, a writer, songwriter and artist, all her life. Kaya's storytelling ability isn’t new to this life. As Kaya, she reawakened her gift with the written word by working with her mother, writing short stories, blogging, taking writing workshops, and writing songs with Sara. Kaya is working on a solo project, a novel entitled LAVERCOLITCA, which shares themes with THE TAMMABUKKU CHRONICLES.
